so many flowers - so MUCH broom [Bayview Hill]

Our regular workparty went out to Bayview Hill on March 8th. We pulled quite a bit of French Broom that was trying to re-establish a foothold on our cleared ridge. That Broom really makes us cranky!

But, what makes us happy is seeing all of the beautiful natives plants and flowers on the Hill. It is truly lovely. Our wonderful gardener, Dylan, took us on a wildflower walk after we finished working and we saw more than a dozen different types of flowers in bloom.

We had not brought a camera with us but one of our volunteers had her trusty I-phone. I’ve posted some of those photos – just to give folks an idea of what a rich, diverse area Bayview Hill is – this little batch of pictures is just a very small sample of what we saw that day. Working on Bayview Hill is a joy!
