It’s time for our regular “second Saturday” habitat restoration work party at the Oak Woodlands in Golden Gate Park with the Natural Areas Program!

We will be weeding and planting native shrubs around the 3rd Av Natural Garden and Coon Hollow area.

Dylan Hayes, Natural Areas Oak Woodlands staff leader will be directing our work party.

The recent rains have soaked the ground and pushed up lots of new growth and now is the time to restrain the invasive annual grasses and give our transplants a head start.

Kids under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Gloves, tools, water and snacks will be provided.
